‘Varanasi’ shoot update: Mahesh Babu, SS Rajamouli and team to shoot massive action sequence post dancr sequence- Report

Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu and ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli are working together on their upcoming grand time traveling adventure thriller ‘Varanasi’. The film is currently in the production stage and according to the latest updates the makers will be shooting a big action sequence non stop for a month.As per 123Telugu, ‘Varanasi’ team is set to begin shooting non-stop for a month to capture one of the biggest action episodes which will feature Mahesh Babu. For the shoot, SS Rajamouli known for his humongous set is set to create breathtaking stunts, large-scale sets, and will also include intense action choreography.In addition to it, this action sequence is said to be the biggest action spectacle of the film with high ambition. According to a report by Telugu Chitraalu, a few days ago it was reported that the team is shooting a song sequence for the film on a huge set built in Katedan, Hyderabad. Mahesh Babu has reportedly been shooting there for the last few days. The song is believed to be more than just a dance number but an important part of the story and helps move the plot forward.It is also suggested that the makers are planning to complete the entire shoot by the end of August 2026.Speaking of ‘Varanasi’, in the film, Mahesh Babu will be seen playing Rudra, a rugged adventurer and time traveller. The actor is also expected to appear as Lord Rama in a special episode. Priyanka Chopra Jonas will be seen as Mandakini, while Prithviraj Sukumaran is said to be playing the main villain, Kumbha.The movie will hit the big screens on April 7, 2027.
