Valmiki postponed to September 20; avoids a clash with Nani’s Gang Leader

Finally, as expected, Harish Shankar’s upcoming directorial Valmiki has avoided a clash with Nani’s Gang Leader by postponing its release to a week. The gangster-comedy starring Varun Tej, Atharvaa Murali and Pooja Hegde in lead roles will now hit the theaters on September 20. From morning itself, rumours started to float regarding the liberation date of Valmiki and finally, the makers have made it official.
Apparently, Nani & his Gang Leader team have planned everything much in advance including the advance ticket bookings in the United States. The promotions are also being done in an innovative and impressive way. On the other side, Valmiki is yet to start its round of promotions and the pre-release buzz is also yet to pick up.

However, the postponement of Valmiki is certainly a welcome move as both the films could have a solo release and bag good numbers over the concerned weekends.
Varun Tej is essaying the lead role of a gangster in this Telugu remake of Tamil superhit film Jigarthanda. While Kollywood actor Atharvaa Murali is making his Tollywood debut by playing one of the other central characters, Pooja Hegde is reprising Lakshmi Menon’s role. The first look of the sexy siren was unveiled the other day.
