has officially been wrapped up as of Saturday.

Sharing the news on social media and getting fans pumped up for the release of the teaser on Sankranti, on January 14, the filmmakers wrote on their social media, “It’s a wrap for #VakeelSaab! Shooting complete & we move on to

Post Production

. #VakeelSaabTeaser on Jan 14th at 6:03PM.” (sic) While Pawan Kalyan had wrapped up shooting for the film on December 29, shooting for a few portions took place after. “And it's a wrap for @PawanKalyan on #VakeelSaab sets. We all had a BLAST working with the Power Star. The POWER will unleash very soon!” (sic) wrote the filmmakers sharing the news.


Vakeel Saab is a remake of Pink, which will see Pawan Kalyan reprise the role Amitabh Bachchan played in the original. The actor will be seen playing the role of a troubled lawyer who decides to take up a case involving sexual abuse of a few girls. Anjali, Nivetha Thomas and Ananya Nagalla also play lead roles in the film that will see a cameo by Shruti Haasan. Director Venu has stated that he has made a few changes to the remake, to suit the tasted of audiences in the Telugu states.

With music by Thaman S and cinematography by PS Vinod, it remains to be seen when the film will finish post-production and hit screens. It also remains to be seen how the changes made to the remake will reflect. Further details are awaited.
