Devi Sri Prasad’s music and the lead couple’s chemistry are expected to be made this a memorable romantic drama in Telugu cinema

Uppena, featuring Panja Vaisshnav Tej and Krithi Shetty in the lead roles, is all set to hit the theatres tomorrow (February 12, 2021). The film, directed by debutant Buchi Babu Sana has its script written by popular filmmaker Sukumar. The teaser and the trailer of the film did impress one and all, with them giving an indication of the film being a romantic drama, with a difference. Here we list out the five reasons to watch Uppena FDFS.

​Script by Sukumar

Lakshyam has its script written by Sukumar and that is a big reason to watch this movie. He knows the pulse of the audiences, especially while narrating romantic entertainers and we definitely can expect some magic from a script penned by the popular filmmaker. He earlier penned down the story for Kumari 21F which received critical acclaim for its direction, story, climax, performances, cinematography and music. In fact, it was his maiden production venture.

​Vijay Sethupathi as the villain

This man needs no introduction as his work speaks volumes of the brilliant actor that he is. Vijay Sethupathi, the ever-dependable actor, plays the antagonist in the film. He will be seen essaying the father of Bebamma (Krithi Shetty) named Raayanam. His presence is always a big positive for any film and here we can see him in an entirely different role. The actor who recently gave us the hit in the form of Master is sure to deliver another grand performance through Uppena.

​Engaging storyline

Uppena is the perfect romantic entertainer to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Panja Vaisshnav Tej plays Aasi while Krithi will be seen as Bebamma, a college-goer. From the trailer and teaser, it seems like Uppena narrates the tale of two youngsters who fall in love with each other since childhood face multiple hurdles to unite. Going by trailer, we are sure that the movie has an engaging storyline. Devi Sri Prasad’s music and the lead couple’s chemistry are expected to be made this a memorable romantic drama in Telugu cinema.

​Debut of Buchi Babu Sana

Uppena has been directed by Buchi Babu Sana, who has years of experience working as an associate director. Reportedly, he has associated with Sukumar for years. He has worked with Sukumar for Nannaku Prematho, Arya 2, 100% Love and Rangasthalam, which remained the most popular Telugu films of recent times. A promising debut is definitely on the cards from this filmmaker. The movie is expected to be redefined love for this generation and generations to come. After the huge success of Sarileru Neekevvaru, music director Devi Sri Prasad is back with some more soulful songs. Uppena’s album has received positive reviews from everywhere. With songs like Nee Kannu Neeli Samudram and Ranguladhukkuna ruling the lists, it also has soul touching songs like Dhak Dhak Dhak, Jala Jala Jalapaatham Nuvvu and Eswara.
