All about ‘Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu’

‘Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu’ starring Chiranjeevi is one of the much-anticipated Pongal releases of 2026. The film marks the return of the megastar after a hiatus of three years. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the Telugu film features Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara in the lead roles. The film also features Venkatesh Daggubati and Catherine Tresa in key roles.
Actors Zarina Wahab, Harsh Vardhan, and Abhinav Gomatam are also part of the cast. On the first day, the film’s India net collection stood at Rs 28.50 crore, according to the early estimates by Sacnilk. The film revolves around a security officer who is assigned to safeguard his estranged wife and their children from a revenge-driven former cop. The film has received a positive response from the audience. “Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu is thoroughly @KChiruTweets’s show, supported by a well-placed cameo from Venkatesh, Nayanthara doing what she does best, and @AnilRavipudi’s trademark family-friendly comedy drama. The film kicks off straight away with the lead’s introduction, wasting no time on unnecessary setup. Chiranjeevi once again proves why he’s an all-round performer—his comedy, humour, sarcasm, and action timing never misfire and work effectively here as well,” wrote one X (formerly Twitter) user. Many have called the film Chiranjeevi’s strong comeback, and ‘Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu’ continues to draw positive response, especially from the family audience.
