If the Tollywood film circles reports are to go by yes! Re-releasing old Blockbuster films with remastered 4K versions in theaters has become a new trend in Tollywood lately. The makers say that it is one of the best ways to please movie buffs and bring back family audiences to theatres post Pandemic and make them enjoy to those nostalgic childhood memories of watching beautiful old movies and AR. ‘Premadesam (2022)’ is a romantic comedy Telugu film directed by Srikanth Siddham starring Thrigun, Maya Preethi, Megha Akash, Ajay Kathurvar andShiva Ramachandravarpu in the lead roles. Veteran South actress Madhoo Shah is playing a key role in the film its music is composed by Mani Sharma and the film is shot by Sajad Kaakku. The film is gearing up to release next week on 9th December 2022.
While Telugu dubbed Tamil film ‘Prema Desam’ 1996 starring Tabu, Vineeth and SP. Balasubramanyam in Prominent roles is directed by Kathir the film was a huge rage upon its release and it was in the budding stages of the music director AR Rahman. Whereas this film is gearing up to re-release on the same date as Srikanth Siddham’s film.
Though the makers of Premadesam 2022 planned to release their film tomorrow it was reportedly postponed due to some unavoidable issues. Therefore a rare phenomenon of two Telugu films with same titles will be seen playing simultaneously in Tollywood next week.
