Ever since news broke out that actors will have to pay service tax of 12.36%, Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce President Suresh Babu���s phone has been constantly ringing.

Filmmakers from across industries, including Sanjay Dutt and Mukesh Bhatt, have been discussing with him on what to do next. While the tax is for actors, many producers say that ultimately they will end up paying up.
Talking to Hyderabad Times, Suresh says, ���The tax is very heavy. We will discuss this matter and give a representation to the government to reduce the tax to below 5%.

Murali Mohan, president of Movie Artistes Association, who had called for a meeting said, ���We are all going to meet soon and will take a decision.��� Meanwhile, the news has created a lot of heartburn in film circles. B Sivaramakrishna, producer of ���Daruvu���, says, ���Even on a cinema ticket, we are paying entertainment tax and other taxes. Now, this is another big burden on us.���
