Tollywood is making the most of this mango season
The summer season is here and so are the mangoes which can be turned into delicious avakaya pachadi. Making pickles seems to be Tollywood’s favourite activity this summer season. After Naga Shaurya posted a video in which he was seen learning to make avakaya pachadi from his mom, Upasana Konidela and Niharika Konidela have made their first attempt at making the lip-smacking avakaya pachadi.

Upasana Konidela shared a special pickle recipe that has been passed down from generation to generation in her family. This pachadi native to her father’s village of Domakonda has jaggery in the recipe so it’s sweeter than the Telangana variety of pachadi that has more kaaram and is spicier than this variety.

Niharika Konidela too tried her hand at making avakaya pachadi for the first time this year. She posted a video on her social media documenting the pachadi-making process. Swathini, the debut director who is all set to helm Niharika’s next Tamil project commented on the saying, “looks yumm already. Better get me some when you come to the shoot,” (sic) Fans are excited to see who is next to jump on the pachadi-making bandwagon.
