This was followed by the engagement ceremony, which included exchanging of rings, garlands, and the tying of a sacred thread around the couple’s wrists. The next ritual was the Sangeet, which was a joyous celebration of the union of the couple. This was followed by the Mehendi ceremony, in which the bride’s hands and feet were decorated with henna. This was followed by the Ganapati Puja, which is a prayer to Lord Ganesha, the God of beginnings. The bride and groom then exchanged garlands, and the groom tied the mangalsutra (sacred thread) around the bride's neck. The ceremony then continues with the pheras (seven circles) around the sacred fire, and the Saptapadi, or seven steps taken together by the couple.

The wedding of Jr NTR was a grand affair that was attended by many dignitaries from the film industry and political arena. Nandamuri Harikrishna had reportedly spent a whopping Rs 18 crore for the wedding of his son Jr NTR. Many celebrities graced the occasion and blessed the couple in their new life together. He also wore a cream and gold coloured sherwani with intricate gold embroidery and gold buttons for reception. He accessorized his look with a pearl necklace, gold bangles, and a stunning diamond ring. Lakshmi Pranathi looked stunning in a traditional red and gold Kanjeevaram saree, paired with a gold and diamond necklace and matching bangles. She also wore a pair of diamond studs to finish her look. Her hair was tied neatly, with a beautiful red and gold hair accessory. She completed her look with a classic red bindi and kohl-lined eyes.
