Allu Arjun, who recently made history as the first Telugu actor to be honoured with the Best Actor National Award for his performance in Pushpa: The Rise, has now added another noteworthy first. He will soon be the first Telugu actor to have a wax statue at Madame Tussauds Dubai. He recently flew there to see the statue in person and was overwhelmed by the experience. The actor met with the artists at the museum earlier this year to have over 200 measurements taken to create the statue. He joins the ranks of other Indian actors with wax statues at Madame Tussauds in other countries, including Sridevi, Prabhas and Mahesh Babu.

THE MAKING OF THE WAX STATUE
- 200 measurements and photographs are taken of the star
- 150 kgs of clay, apart from wire and metal tubes make up the skeleton
- 25 kgs wax is poured in a mould made of plaster for the statue
- Acrylic resin is used to create the eyes which are hand-painted by artists
- It is tradition for celebrities to provide their own clothing for the figures
( - Madame Tussauds Vienna and Sydney)
