Actor Sriya Reddy, who will next be seen in Pawan Kalyan's much-anticipated gangster action drama 'They Call Him OG'. Recently, the 'Salaar' actor described it as one of the most authentic performances she has taken on in recent times, as the film is set to hit theatres on September 25.According to a report in IANS, she called her character a very realistic and hard-hitting one, even being a commercial film. She added, "I was happy to get as close to realism as possible in both my look and performance."

Likes to play authentic roles

Sriya also addressed how she chooses her roles, explaining that the outer packaging of a character, such as age or physicality, matters far less to her than the substance of the role itself. "The age or physical appearance of a character doesn't matter to me as long as I get to portray roles that are authentic, meaningful, and exciting," she shared.Sriya also mentioned that she likes to be involved in the more complex, detailed roles.She was last seen in Prabhas starrer 'Salaar' playing an intense role as character Radha Rama Mannar.

About 'OG'

Directed by Sujeeth, 'They Call Him OG' casts Pawan Kalyan as Ojas Gambheera, a formidable gangster who returns from exile to Mumbai for a high-stakes mission. Priyanka Arul Mohan stars as the female lead, while Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi makes his Telugu debut as the antagonist Omi Bhau. The film also features Arjun Das, Prakash Raj, Shaam, and Harish Uthaman in key roles.
