The team of the much talked about web-series Loser recently conducted a webinar to discuss various aspects of working on web series.
Loser is a sports drama which stars comedian Priyadarshi in the lead role. Set between 1980 and 2000, the series narrates the stories of three athletes and the struggles they face as they try to make their mark in their respective fields.
Speaking in the webinar, director Abhilash said, “Sports like cricket and
badminton are very popular in India but air rifle shooting is not explored enough by Indian fans. I got to know about the struggle of air rifle shooters through a friend and that’s how I got the idea for this script. Everyone who heard it instantly liked it including the actors and the rest of the team. Many assumed that I had taken a year to write a story but it took me just three months to pen it. Bharadwaj and
Shravan too worked with me on the story. It feels great to know that the show continues to do exceedingly well on ZEE5."
Priyadarshi, who plays
Soori in Loser said, “The screenplay was great and it guided me through the acting process. I was apprehensive about playing the role of a shooter in the film. I was trained by Neelakantha garu for 30 days and pulled off the role. Loser’s success can be attributed to every single person who worked on it. The team carried me on their shoulders throughout the shoot.
