‘The Raja Saab’: Prabhas starrer horror-comedy to premiere on January 8; Maker confirms grand pre-release event in Hyderabad - Report

Prabhas will be next seen in the upcoming horror-comedy, ‘The Raja Saab’. The makers recently released the second single during a launch event held in Hyderabad on Wednesday evening. Interestingly, the makers also shared plans for the film’s premiere shows last night.

Producer confirms January 8 premiere

According to a report by CineExpress, during the event, producer TG Vishwa Prasad confirmed that the film’s premiere shows are locked in for January 8, a day ahead of its official release date. He also revealed that the pre-release event is being planned on a large scale at open grounds in Hyderabad. Interestingly, fans will get to see Prabhas in person at the event.


On Wednesday night, the second song from the film was unveiled at a busy mall in Hyderabad, where a huge crowd gathered to witness the event. The grand event was attended by actresses Nidhhi Agerwal and Riddhi Kumar, who play key roles in the movie.

Prabhas returns to comedy

Directed by Maruthi, the film is a grand horror comedy, where Prabhas will be seen in a comical role after a long time since his serious, hard-hitting action thriller films. Prabhas is seen as a young carefree man who inherits a royal estate from his grandfather. But little did he know, it is a haunted house filled with spirits. The teaser shows supernatural events leading to comical and adventurous events in the film as Prabhas faces horrific occurrences tied to the ancestral haveli.

Cast of ‘The Raja Saab’

Prabhas leads alongside Malavika Mohanan, who makes her Tollywood debut, Nidhhi Agerwal and Riddhi Kumar as the female leads. The movie also features Sanjay Dutt as the main antagonist and Boman Irani and Zarina Wahab in key roles.

The music of the film is composed by Thaman.

It is slated for a pan-India release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam on January 9, 2026.
