'The Raja Saab' box office collections day 15: Prabhas film crashes hard; Just Rs 22 lakhs on Friday
'The Raja Saab' is now clearly struggling at the box office. On Day 15 the Prabhas starrer horror comedy collected only Rs 22 lakhs in India net. These numbers are early estimates provided by the Sacnilk website.
The film has seen a huge fall after the second week started. On Day 14 it earned around Rs 61 lakhs. By Day 15 the number dropped further. The total India net collection of the film now stands at Rs 143.03 crores.
The second-week performance has been very weak. The total collection for Week 2 is around Rs 12.56 crores which shows a big drop compared to the first week.
Morning shows had 15.45% occupancy. Afternoon shows slightly improved to 17.56%. Evening shows were at 17.13%. Night shows were the best with 21.89%, but even that was not strong.
The Hindi version performed very poorly. The overall Hindi occupancy was just 1.47%. Morning shows had only 1.09% occupancy. Afternoon shows dropped further to 1.03%.
'The Raja Saab' is directed by Maruthi. The film was expected to be a fun horror comedy with Prabhas in a new space. But the execution did not connect with the audience.
The film is getting mixed to negative reviews online. One viewer wrote, "There is only one person who can truly affect Prabhas's stardom-and that person is Prabhas himself. Saying this is painful for fans, but after watching The Raja Saab, it becomes difficult to ignore. I went in with zero expectations, already prepared for disappointment. Still, the outcome was far worse than imagined."
Another review was even more emotional and critical. It said, **"Like many other fans I eagerly waited for the release of The Raja Saab with so many expectations. I personally didn't enjoy Kalki 2898 AD, therefore Salaar was the last movie of Prabhas that I heartfully enjoyed. I thought Adipurush would be the worst movie of Prabhas like nightmare, but ironically The Raja Saab overtook it with pathetic storyline, terrible direction and awful editing. Performance wise, the entire casts did exactly what they were directed, hence no complaint on it."
With poor collections, low occupancy, and strong negative talk 'The Raja Saab' is now nearing the end of its box office run.
