Rashmika Mandanna starred in the romance drama film 'The Girlfriend,' directed by filmmaker Rahul Ravindran, which gained acclaim and love upon its release. Fans on social media have been tagging the makers and expressing their heartfelt messages after watching the film. Now it looks like how Bhooma in the film has a knack for reading; the director, catering to her fans who love to read, shared the script of the film.

Recently, the director Rahul Ravindran shared that he has been receiving messages from fans to share the official script of the film.

Replying to a fan on X (formerly Twitter), the director wrote, "I keep getting asked this… especially on Insta DMs. So here goes :) The link contains the screenplay of the film. This is the final draft we took to sets. If you’ve seen the film… you’ll realize what was improvised/reimagined on the set. And two or three scenes that were deleted in edit are left intact in the screenplay. Please note the script is legally registered and must not be reproduced or republished without authorization. Hope you like reading it :)"

The director shared a 100-page Google Drive link in the post, which includes the version of the film written on paper by Rahul Ravindran.

About the film, 'The Girlfriend'

The movie tells the story of Rashmika Mandanna's character Bhooma from her college days. She is seen in a fairy-tale romance with Vikram, played by Dheekshith Shetty, which turns into a toxic relationship. It includes the emotional growth and empowerment that her character finds as she gets her voice amid relationships and inner strength.

The movie also features Anu Emmanuel, Rao Ramesh, and Rohini and also includes a special appearance by the director. The music is composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab.

After its theatrical release on November 7, 2025, the movie is now streaming on Netflix in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.

On the work front, Rashmika Mandanna is now working on her next Hindi film, 'Cocktail 2' starring alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. Rashmika was last seen in the Dhanush starrer 'Kuberaa'.
