The Telugu film 'The Family Star' starring Vijay Devarakonda and Mrunal Thakur was released in theatres last week and the movie has been getting mixed reviews. Amidst its up and down reviews, the film on Wednesday has managed to make Rs 1 crore at the box office. The movie is a family drama and in one week it has grossed over Rs 19 crore in India.
Directed by Parasuram, the film on day 1 made Rs 5.75 crore and on day 2 it made Rs 3.45 crore and from then it reduced to Rs 3.1 crore, Rs 2.5 crore Rs 1.3 crore respectively on days 3, 4 and 5 and now the movie has made Rs 1 crore.
The rest of the film's cast include Abhinaya, Vasuki, Rohini Hattangadi, Ravi Babu among others. The movie portrays Vijay Devarakonda as a father and husband and the story revolves around his role Govardhan Rao who takes the burden of supporting his entire family and it shows how he carefully manages the family finances.
