Thammareddy's Prathighatana rolls out

It seems director and producer Thammareddy Bharadwaj, who will be returning to the world of entertainment after a gap of six years, hasn���t lost his game. At a time when movies are being inspired by biopics, his next venture, Pratighatana, is based on a real life incident that transpired in Odisha. The film also has a shade of satire, inspired by the present political scenario.���Four years ago, a woman was raped in Odisha and she remains in coma till date. I researched on that incident, based on which I modelled my project. A lot of politics, too, surrounded this case,��� says the director.
When quizzed as to why he decided to make a movie based on a true event, he shares, ���I got frustrated just reading and watching news about our political leaders. I feel sad that it is us who vote them to power and give them the harness to run our country,��� he shares. Charmme plays the main lead in the film, which started rolling a few days back.
