Telugu remake of Kollywood’s psycho-thriller ‘Ratsasan’ officially launched

Considered as the best physiological-thriller in Kollywood, ‘Ratsasan’ received overwhelming reviews from both critics & viewers upon release. Made on a shoe-string budget, the Vishnu Vishal and Amala Paul starrer went on to gross over 20 crore at the global box-office. The compelling storyline, superb performances and edge-of-the-seat narration in ‘Ratsasan’ will certainly send shivers down your spine. And, as expected, this highly-successful Tamil film is getting remade in Telugu.
Starring Bellamkonda Sreenivas as the main lead, the untitled remake was launched in Hyderabad a few hours ago. Bankrolled by Koneru Satyanarayana with actor Havish as the presenter, the film is directed by Ramesh Varma who has previously helmed ‘Ride’, ‘Veera’ and ‘Abbayitho Ammayi’. Tamil musician Ghibran is roped in to compose the music and according to rumoured sources, Rakul Preet Singh is in talks to reprise Amala Paul’s role in this riveting thriller.
‘Ratsasan’ showcases how a dedicated cop sets out to solve a puzzling case involving mysterious murders all over the city.
Besides this remake, the Bellamkonda scion is hands-full with interesting projects like Teja’s ‘Sita’ opposite Kajal Aggarwal and Ajay Bhupathi’s ‘Maha Samudram’.
