Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala got engaged in a traditional ceremony in Hyderabad on August 8, 2024. Shortly after the engagement, an astrologer named Venu Swamy made headlines by predicting that their relationship would end by the end of 2027. This sparked outrage among fans and members of the Telugu Film Journalist Association (TFJA), leading them to file a police complaint against Venu Swamy for his insensitive remarks. In response to the complaint, the Telangana High Court has ordered an investigation into the matter.
According to reports from Deccan Chronicle, Venu Swamy challenged the complaint in court and initially secured a stay against any actions from the Women's Commission. However, the Telangana High Court later cancelled this stay and instructed the commission to investigate the complaint thoroughly. The court affirmed that the commission has the authority to take action regarding the allegations. Following this ruling, the Women's Commission summoned Venu Swamy for questioning with a deadline to complete their investigation within a week.
For the unversed, earlier he had shared a video on Instagram, Swamy had predicted that Chaitanya and Sobhita's relationship would face challenges due to another woman in 2027. After facing significant backlash online, he removed the original video and posted an apology, explaining that his prediction about Chaitanya and Sobhita was merely an extension of his earlier predictions.
Now, Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala are moving forward with their plans to marry soon, and pre-wedding festivities have already begun at Sobhita's home. Recently Sobhita joined Naga Chaitanya and Akkineni family for a photo session at ANR National Awards. Sobhita looked charming in a grey saree with a shimmery border and Naga Chaitanya was clad in an all-black attire with olive green shoes.
