Telangana Forest Department ensures wild animals don’t go thirsty in summer
With temperatures rising in the state and rapid urbanisation on a rise, wild animals in forests fall short of water and suffer from thirst.
To ensure no animal suffers, the Telangana Forest Department has made adequate arrangements. Saucer pits filled with water have been placed in forest regions across the state and dams are being checked to ensure there’s enough water.

The forest department took to social media recently to assure animal lovers that they are taking care of core regions in the state. What’s more, they have even installed cameras near the saucer pits to monitor the animals and posted pictures that have been captured recently.
The photographs they shared shows a leopard at Pocharam Wildlife Sanctuary. Animals like deer and bison have also been spotted quenching thirst at Jannaram Wildlife Sanctuary and Kinnerasani Wildlife Sanctuary.
