Kinnera artist Darshanam Mogiliaiah came to limelight ever since he sang the intro for the title song of Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati starrer Bheemla Nayak.
After being conferred with the Padma Shri, the folk artist has now met Telangana Chief Minister KCR at his residence. The CM met the artist to offer congratulations in person for being conferred with the fourth highest civilian award on Republic Day.
The Telangana government also announced Rs 1 Cr financial assistance and promised him a piece of land for construction of a house. The CM also reportedly called Mogilaiah the ‘pride of Telangana’ and assured such assistance to other indigenous artists in the state.
Hailing from Nagakurnool district in Telangana, Kinnera Mogilaiah as he’s known, has performed at various national and global platforms. He rose to fame when he sang the opening bits for the song composed by Thaman S. Pawan Kalyan also met the artist when he recorded the song to laud his efforts in the art-form.
