'Tej I Love You': Five reasons to watch Sai Dharam Tej starrer

Actor Sai Dharam Tej starrer Tej I Love You is finally ready to hit screens and the actor will be seen in a brand new avatar in an attempt to resurrect his flailing career. Directed by A Karunakaran, who's making a comeback after two years, this film is a love story featuring Anupama Parameswaran as the female lead. With the film set to hit screens worldwide on Friday, here are five things to look forward to from Tej I Love You.

1 ) Sai Dharam Tej in a romantic avatar
Tej I Love You is Sai Dharam Tej's first romantic film. The actor has so far acted only in commercial, masala entertainers, but for the first time, has decided to step out of his comfort zone and try something new. In the film, he falls in love with the police commissioner's daughter and keeps pursuing her even after she hurts him. It'll be interesting to see how Dharam Tej will pull off his first full-fledged romantic role.

2) Important film for Anupama Parameswaran
After her debut Telugu film in Chandoo Mondeti's Premam in 2016, Anupama Parameswaran emerged as one of Tollywood's most sought-after actresses. Interestingly, the actress has been extremely picky while selecting films to feature in and this year, she has featured in Nani-starrer Krishnarjuna Yuddham, which failed to click at the box-office. Given that she is now featured opposite an actor who's had one flop after another, it remains to be seen if Anupama can turn things around for her own career as well as for Sai Dharam Tej.

3) Karunakaran's comeback
Directed Karunakaran took Tollywood by a storm with his debut film

with Pawan Kalyan, which turned out to be one of the Power Star's biggest blockbusters. Twelve years later, he delivered another blockbuster film, Darling, which turned out to be one of the most iconic films in actor Prabhas' career. However, the director went off the radar since, making only three films in the last decade, the latest being Chinnadaana

Nee Kosam

in 2014. With the director making a comeback after four years, it remains to be seen if he can have the same effect on Sai Dharam Tej as he did for Pawan Kalyan in 1998.

4) Comedy galore
With a string of comedians, including actors like Prudhvi Raj and Viva Harsha, Tej I Love You promises to be a laugh riot. The producers have stated that the comedy will be one of the film's highlights. Having multiple comedians in a film doesn't always guarantee a laugh riot, as we have often seen in Telugu cinema. We'll have to wait and watch if they can crack the formula this week.

5) Can Dharam Tej turned it around?
Since Supreme in 2016, Sai Dharam Tej has acted in five films and all of them have turned out to be box-office duds. With the actor's career at an all-time low, he will be hoping to turn things around with Tej I Love You. His fans will eagerly be waiting to watch this film and see if he can be sixth time lucky.
