There are many Telugu movies which have a prominent storyline based on teacher-student rapport

It's September 5, a day everyone remembers their favourite gurus who changed the course of their lives. For the uninitiated, every year on this day, the birth anniversary of Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the first Vice President of India and the second President of India is observed with prayer services and tributes across the nation. Tollywood is not behind when it comes to portray teachers in films. There are many Telugu movies which have a prominent storyline based on teacher-student rapport. On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, here’s a look at Tollywood stars who portrayed the role of inspiring teachers onscreen.

Vijay Deverakonda in Geetha Govindam

There is a scene in the film where Vijay Deverakonda, who essayed the lecturer Vijay Govind, goes to his student Neelu’s house to explain what she does. She loves Govind but he hesitates to love her as she is a student, moreover, she is much younger than him. Her parents also ask him to marry her as she is deeply in love with him. But he denies their request and promises her to be a good friend of her all-time. Director Parasuram shows how the relationship between a teacher and student should be in the film.

Balakrishna in Simha

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s role of an ambitious college professor in Simha not only won him critical acclaim but also fetched him a Nandi Award for Best Actor. He also won CineMAA and Santosham Film Awards. That for the impact he left for the role. His teachings about morals and ethics were revolutionary and empowered his students to think and behave in new and exciting ways. He cannot tolerate injustice.

Chiranjeevi in Master

Mega Star Chiranjeevi played the role of a student Rajkumar who falls in love with his lecturer's daughter Preeti and she also loves him deeply. She has been killed by a man when she refuses to marry him. Rajkumar kills that man and stays in jail for five years. He later joins in a college and finds out that the killer is alive. He strikes an instant rapport with students and helps them to grow up in whatever they want to become

Ravi Teja in Mirapakaya

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja is an inspector in the Intelligence Bureau by profession, but he joins in a college as a Hindi lecturer as a part of an undercover operation. He is fun-loving and his comic portrayal of the lecturer left the audience splits. His tactics for motivating students are amazing as well as hilarious. He falls in love with his student Vinamra and marries her at the end. We love him as an inspector as well as a lecturer.
