Can Vijay continue his winning streak?Ever since the 2016 rom-com Pelli Choopulu released, Vijay Deverakonda has been churning one hit after another at the box-office, emerging as one of Tollywood's most bankable young stars. While his recent political thriller NOTA didn't quite set the cash registers ringing, Vijay impressed with his performance as the 'Rowdy CM'. With Taxiwaala geared up for release, it remains to be seen if this young actor can continue his winning streak at the box-office.

Priyanka Jawalkar's debutAnantapur girl Priyanka Jawalkar is all set to make her debut with Taxiwaala, and the young actress is full of energy and excitement. Priyanka plays a junior doctor in the film and her romantic sequence with Vijay is supposedly one of the most entertaining aspects of this film. Well, we can't wait to find out how she has fared in this film.

Unconventional humourIn an interview with Hyderabad Times, Vijay Deverakonda shared that the humour in Taxiwaala will be unlike any we've seen in mainstream Telugu cinema, because of the lead characters' tendency to make fun of themselves. "The lead actors find themselves in such horrible situations that they laugh at themselves. it's sadistic, almost self-deprecating humour," Vijay said.

Vijay's relationship with his carA major chunk of Taxiwaala will focus on the lead protagonist's relationship with his car. Vijay plays the role of a cab driver in the film and goes through a range of emotions over the course of this film and his car remains the constant in an otherwise roller-coaster ride. We can't wait to find out how it looks on screen.

Exploring the horror genreMany Telugu films have experimented with the horror-thriller genre in recent times with little success. Taxiwaala is yet another such attempt. The film has elements of science fiction, horror and comedy in it and it would be interesting to see how it all shapes up to deliver as a complete package.
