Ratsasan
’ which received a positive response from the audience is now set to be remade in Telugu as ‘
Rakshasan
’, according to the latest reports. The remake rights have reportedly been sold to a popular production banner.
Reports state that remake, which will go on floors from March this year, will be directed by
Ramesh Varma and the film’s team is busy finalising the star cast and crew. Sources say that
Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas
will reprise the role of Vishnu Vishal in the film that will be bankrolled by Satyanarayana Koneru, Havish Lakshman Koneru and Multidimension Vaasu under A Studios banner.
Written and directed by Ram Kumar, ‘Ratsasan’ was produced under the banner Axess Film Factory and had Ghibran composing its tunes while PV Sankar managed the camera and San Lokesh worked on editing the film.
Director Ramesh Varma, who will soon begin work on this remake, is best known for helming ‘Ride’, ‘Veera’ and ‘Abbayitho Ammayi’ and also for his work as a screenwriter. Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas was last seen in ‘Kavacham’, which did not perform well at the box office.
