She returns to Bengali cinema after a decade; in a film directed by Satyajit Ray���������s sonTabu has been approached by late filmmaker Satyajit Ray���������s son Sandip to act in his forthcoming film. This will mark her return to Bengali films after a decade. She was last seen in Gautam Ghose���������s gripping drama Abar Aranye.
It is learnt that Tabu still hasn���������t signed on the dotted line, but she is excited about the film and is brushing up on her Bengali skills.
The movie goes on floors post-monsoon. Informers in the production house reveal that the film is targeted at the festival circuit. The director wants to take his film to all leading film festivals across the globe.
According to an insider, ���������People will see Tabu in a totally different avatar. The film will have high emotional moments and Sandip believes that only the national award winning actress can pull it off. She has had several conversations about the project with him and is blown away by the script.���������
Adds the source, ���������She has to get the pronunciations right, but she should be fine with a few days of coaching. Tabu is quick in picking up languages and scenes.���������
