In less than an hour, the theatrical trailer of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy will be out on the internet and going by the response on social media, millions of netizens are eagerly anticipating for an action-visual-extravaganza from Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan & Co. While the 107-second teaser offered a good glimpse of the breath-taking action sequences, astounding sets, captivating visuals, battlefield episodes and thumping background score, the trailer is expected to delve deep into the plot and elaborate the characters of the ensemble star cast which features some big names in Indian cinema.

Sye Raa tells the story of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, the rebellion leader from Rayalaseema who fought valiantly against the British East India Company. Helmed on a massive budget of Rs 270 crore, the Surender Reddy directorial is gearing up for a massive release on October 2 in multiple languages like Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. A whopping Rs 45 crore for the visual effects in the film

Producer Ram Charan is leaving no stone unturned to make sure that Sye Raa will forever remain as the memorable film in his father’s illustrious career on the celluloid. Speculations are rife that Charan’s Konidela Production Company has spent a whopping Rs 45 crore just for the visual effects of the film. About 17 studios around the world were reportedly involved in creating the VFX portions in the film and national award-winning technician RC Kamalakannan is overseeing the visual effects. Sources say that Sye Raa will certainly be a visual spectacle which will spellbind the audience.

18 months on sets with acclaimed technicians and Hollywood stuntmen

The filming of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy kicked-off on December 2017 with a mind-blowing action scene canned on Chiranjeevi, Telugu supporting artists and foreign fighters. While International stuntmen Lee Whittaker and George Powell choreographed the action part, almost 25% of the film was wrapped up in the lengthy first schedule. The second schedule was a gruelling one which was continuously shot for 35 nights. According to DOP Rathnavelu’s tweet, “35 nights of challenging schedule! Fighting against the rain, British army, canons, etc. Massive action with huge production value”

After canning the battle sequences and crucial war episodes in the intensive Georgia schedule, the team of Sye Raa moved to Kerala, Hyderabad and the Talakona forest in Rayalaseema to wrap up the remaining portions of shoot.

Leaked climax of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy already doing rounds

It’s already evident that Sye Raa is the biopic of Telugu freedom fighter Uyyalawala Narasimha Reddy and his revolt against the British Army. As the inspiring story of this unsung warrior is known to most Telugu-speaking people, they are sharing their responses on social media. While the climax part is already doing the rounds on the internet, it says that “After a fierce battle, the British army capture Narasimha Reddy and hang him. The body is kept with his assistants and family on a hill for nearly a month. Director Surender Reddy has captured this moment in an intense manner and the episode will certainly melt everyone’s hearts.”

Ensemble star cast featuring some big names in Indian cinema

Sye Raa is bringing together two legendary film personalities like Chiranjeevi and Amitabh Bachchan onto the same frame. The 76-year-old Bollywood actor is essaying the role of Guru Gosayi Venkanna in Sye Raa. While Vijay Sethupathi is playing the significant role of Raja Pandi Nadar, Sudeep will be seen as Avuku Raju. Rest of the eminent star cast includes Tamannaah, Nayanthara, Anushka Shetty, Jagapathi Babu, Niharika Konidela and Ravi Kishan. While Bollywood musician Amit Tridevi has composed the tunes for Sye Raa, Julius Packiam has added some thunderous BGM to the film.

Anushka Shetty steps into the shoes of Rani Lakshmibai to narrate Narasimha Reddy’s heroic act

During a recent promotional interview in Mumbai, Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi confirmed that Anushka Shetty will be seen as Rani Lakshmibai, the leading figure in the Indian Rebellion of 1857. In the shoes of the unsung warrior, Anushka will be narrating the inspiring story of Uyyalawada to her wounded soldiers on the battleground and this is where the film begins. Besides the warrior act, the 37-year-old actress uttered some powerful lines in the riveting sequence.
