Sye Raa changed me as a human being: Surender Reddy

Director Surender Reddy, who’s leaving no stone unturned to give his best for Chiranjeevi’s magnum-opus

, blinked twice after the actor felt he would be the right person to direct the freedom fighter’s biopic. His life has undergone a drastic turn ever since, so much that Surender Reddy believes the on-set experience has changed his approach to life. “The journey towards directing Sye Raa changed me as a human being, my habits, tastes, interests underwent transformation. I understand what submitting yourself to the film meant after watching him perform on the sets.His personality is as insightful as a book, the more you read, you don’t want the journey to end,” Surender Reddy shares.

From being a Chiru fan boy to directing his film, the director has come a long way. “I came to the industry with a lot of passion. While I took a while to fulfill my filmmaking ambitions, I never thought I could direct Chiranjeevi garu in a film. I still thank my stars everyday. I am learning a lot,’’ he signs off.Sye Raa, also starring Nayanthara, Tamannah alongside Chiranjeevi is expected to hit theatres in mid 2019.
