SVR media bags Thuppakki Telugu rights

The Telugu theatrical distribution rights (dubbing) for AP of Vijay-Kajal Aggarwal starrer Thuppakki has been bagged by SVR media. The Telugu rights of the action thriller, written and directed by A. R. Murugadoss, have been sold to producer Sobha Rani, who is releasing the Telugu version.
It���s been buzzed that SVR media paid a whopping amount of 15 crores for the Telugu rights, a new record in terms of obtaining the Telugu rights.Several Tollywood biggies like Bellamkonda Suresh, Geetha Films, Suresh Films, etc were competing for the dubbing rights but SVR eventually bagged the rights. Thuppakki would be SVR���s second biggest film after Kamal Hasan���s ���Dasavatharam���.
The soundtrack is composed by Harris Jayaraj while cinematography is handled by Santhosh Sivan. Kajal Aggarwal is playing the female lead in this film, which is slated for Diwali release.
