Superstar Rajinikanth back in action for his 165th film

After the success of Kaala, Rajinikanth is back in action once again with another upcoming yet-untitled film. Directed by Karthick Subbaraj, the film has started its shoot in the northern part of the country.
Sun Pictures is bankrolling the movie, which will also feature actor Vijay Sethupathi in a key role. While Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for the film, Bobby Simhaa and Sananth Reddy will be playing the role of Rajini’s sons in the film.Megha Akash will also be seen opposite Sananth. the film is going to be set in the backdrop of a gang war and Rajini will be seen in the role of gangster, sources have revealed. However, an official announcement is awaited to confirm the nature of the film and the lead characters.
"Leading action director Peter Heinz has been roped in for this ambitious project so there will be a lot of high-octane action sequences in this film. Needless to say, it's going to be a treat for Rajini fans," shared a source from the film's production unit.
This film will be Rajinikanth's 165th film, and will be a landmark project before his foray into full-time politics.
