Sanya Thakur is filled with excitement as she gears up for her debut in Tollywood, portraying a RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) agent in the gripping espionage thriller SPY, headlined by Nikhil Siddhartha. Having kickstarted her acting journey as one of Hrithik Roshan’s students in the critically acclaimed Super 30, Sanya is thrilled to embark on her venture into the vibrant world of the South Indian film industry with such a captivating film.
“From acting in school plays to dabbling in theatre before making my Bollywood debut, it has been an incredible journey so far. I never thought I would make it in the film industry. Working in Super 30 boosted my confidence tremendously, and paved the way for my Tollywood debut. I’m super excited,” says the actress.
Talking about her role in the film, Sanya says, “It’s an action-packed role and I got do my share of high octane stunts. It was a ball to work with Nikhil. I was initially a little skeptical about emoting in a language I didn’t know, but thanks to my grounding in theatre I managed to pull it off.” Sanya, who also has a Hindi web-series and another film in the pipeline, says she looks up to Allu Arjun. “I love the way he picks films. Much like him, I want to be known for my versatality,” she signs off.
