Now that

theatres

in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have gotten the permission to reopen, Sumanth took to social media to announce that his next film has a release date. Certified U/A, the actor revealed that the film will hit screens come December 25. Sharing a poster that sees him holding a gun to his head, he wrote, “#Kapatadhaari

U/A. Releasing this Christmas... in theatres!” (sic) In the poster, Sumanth can be seen dressed in a traffic cop’s uniform.


The film’s teaser was released by the film’s team in October end and it received good response from the audience. Kapatadhaari seems to be a mystery thriller of a traffic cop who requests the police department to allow him to take part in a murder investigation, only to be warned to stay away. It remains to be seen how the film will fare upon release.


The thriller also sees Nassar and Jayaprakash in key roles and was shot simultaneously in Tamil as Kabadadaari. Simon K King has composed the music for the film that will see cinematography by Rasamathi. Sumanth was last seen in

Idam Jagath

and the NTR biopic so fans are excited to catch him on-screen again.

Recently the team of Subbu’s Sai Dharam Tej and Nabha Natesh starrer Solo Brathuke So Better also announced that they’ll hit screens in December, even if they are yet to announce a date.
