Sudheer Babu starts preparing for the role of Pullela Gopichand

Actor Sudheer Babu has his prep mode on as he is busy learning everything he could about Pullela Gopichand before playing the

former Indian badminton player

in the upcoming

biopic

which is yet to be titled. Before throwing himself into the role, he decided to play tennis for several days and took to Twitter to share a clip of himself playing the sport.

He wrote: “Back to my first girlfriend #Badminton ... As people say, "First love is always alive”!! Preparation time for #PullelaGopichand”.

Interestingly, before becoming an actor, he was a professional badminton player that many might not know. The project will be helmed by Praveen Sattaru of ‘Chandamama Kathalu’ and ‘PSV Garuda Vega 126.18M’. Sudheer Babu will reprise the role of Pullela Gopichand onscreen.

According to reports, the film will start rolling soon and the official announcement regarding all the cast and crew will be revealed by the end of this month. The film will reportedly be released in multiple languages.
