Introduced to Telugu cinema as the younger son of legendary actor Mohan Babu,
Manchu Manoj managed to strike the right chord with the mass audience with quite a few films like ‘Donga Dongadi’, ‘Raju Bhai’, ‘Nenu Meeku Telusa...?’, ‘Bindaas’, ‘Mr Nookayya’ and ‘Current Theega’. However, success seems to have distanced from this 36-year-old actor with his last four films ending up as debacles.
It’s been almost two years since Manchu Manoj signed any film and in fact, the ‘Gunturodu’ actor wrote an emotional letter a few months ago where he revealed that he was quitting cinema to serve the people. According to reports, he had even moved from Hyderabad to Tirupati to start a new innings.
