My dad stepped in to stop the man from being beaten by the crowd. When my dad tried to talk to him, he started blabbering rubbish that I had invited him to come home. And that he was married to me and that Im angry with him. I think he was deranged, says the actress, who was returning from a shoot when the incident happened. I was asked to not come home by my parents. I went to my friends place instead. It was very unnerving to say the least, shares the actress.
Admittedly, the stalker had been bothering her for the last three months. It all began a month before Ganesh Chathurthi when I started getting calls from an unidentified man who claimed he was a fan. I tried to tell him that Im not Sneha Ullal, but to no avail. I blocked his number, and he started calling from other numbers. He told me that he would come to my home with his grandmother and I was shocked when he turned up a day after Ganesh Chathurthi. Except my close friends, nobody knows my residence, I was scared, recalls Sneha.
The harassment did not stop though. He started threatening me and saying he would kill me and hurt my family. That really shook me up and I complained to the police and also called on Salman Khan a few days ago. Then this happened, says the actress confessing to have been mentally scarred by the episode. Its very disturbing to live with the thought of being followed by a stranger. Ive stopped going out alone. Its going to take me a while to get back to normal, says Sneha signing off.
