SS Rajamouli's son shares a glimpse of Africa scouting for Mahesh Babu’s jungle adventure 'SSMB29'

The ace director SS Rajamouli and Superstar Mahesh Babu are working on the jungle adventure thriller 'SSMB29'. The makers have been keeping details related to the project under wraps. Recently the 'RRR' director's son, SS Karthikeya, who also works with him on his projects shared a glimpse hinting at the production of the film.

Recently, SS Karthikeya, Rajamouli's son, shared glimpses of their location scouting on Instagram, revealing that they are exploring the forests of Africa for filming. As the theme is a jungle thriller the makers are expected to explore the regions. In the caption he wrote, "#GLOBETROTTER".

The film's script is being wriiten by Vijayendra Prasad, Rajamouli's father, who assures that 'SSMB29' will surpass the scale of Rajamouli's previous blockbusters.

The film is one of the most anticipated films with the budget for this ambitious project is rumoured to exceed Rs 1000 crores, making it one of the most expensive films in Indian cinema. Mahesh Babu is also touted to be co-producing the film and won't be charging acting remuneration.

Music of the film will be composed by MM Keeravani, known for his work on 'Baahubali' and 'RRR' while cinematography will be handled by PS Vinod, who has previously collaborated with Mahesh Babu in 'Guntur Kaaram'.

Mahesh Babu has been preparing rigorously for his role, transforming his look to suit the character of an adventurer. Reports suggest that he may have drawn inspiration from the Hindu mythological figure Lord Hanuman.

Additionally, the reports also suggest that the film will also include an international cast. Earlier, there were rumours that Indonesian actress Chelsea Islan could play the female lead, although no official casting announcements have been made yet. The film is currently in the pre-production stage. Furthermore, the reports also suggests that the makers are planning the shooting of the project to begin from January 2025 coinciding with the Sankranti celebrations.

The 'Baahubali' actor is expected to conduct a press conference where the team will officially announce the storyline, cast and other related details about the film.
