SS Rajamouli’s RRR gets postponed; makers announce the new release date

RRR, the upcoming film featuring Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles, is one among the big Telugu movies scheduled for a release during this summer season. The period action-drama, directed by maverick SS Rajamouli, is expected to be a perfect wholesome entertainer, which would take the box office by storm.
Earlier, the makers had announced July 30, 2020, as the release date of this much-awaited movie.Later, rumours surfaced that the team has postponed the release of the film and now, the team themselves have come up with a confirmation regarding the same by announcing the film’s delay. It seems like the fans will have to wait a bit longer. Reportedly, RRR will now be releasing on January 8, 2021, and the production house has announced the new release date through their official social media pages.


Over the last few months, Rajamouli and team have been on a tight schedule to complete some crucial scenes. The fans are quite disappointed as the release of RRR has been postponed to next year. According to the makers, a delay in the visual effects work and huge worldwide release plan are the reasons for the change in release date. The lavishly-mounted film will see Jr NTR as Komaram Bheem while Ram Charan essays Alluri Sitarama Raju.
The movie is being bankrolled by DVV Entertainments. KK Senthil Kumar is cranking the camera for it and the music for the film is being composed by MM Keeravani. The star cast also includes Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Samuthirakani, Rahul Ramakrishna, Ray Stevenson, Olivia Morris and Alison Doody in pivotal roles.
