SS Rajamouli says, "I Like Raavan More Than Lord Ram," admiring the character's strength and complexity

Ace director SS Rajamouli, known for his creative prowess in Indian cinema, has delivered all-time blockbusters like 'Baahubali' and 'RRR.' However, recently he made some intriguing statements. In a newly released documentary titled 'Modern Masters SS Rajamouli,' which is now streaming online, Rajamouli discussed his work and personal life, including his atheism.

Rajamouli expressed his admiration for Raavan over Lord Ram. He explained that, as children, we learn from books that the Pandavas are good and the Kauravas are bad, and similarly, Lord Ram is good while Raavan is bad. He said, "When we were all young, we read in books that the Pandavas were good and the Kauravas were bad. Similarly, books portrayed Lord Ram as good and Raavan as bad. However, as you grow up and read more about him, it all seems completely the opposite."

Rajamouli also added, "I think I like Raavan more than Lord Ram. I like very powerful villains. I liked Raavan's character a lot. I think the villain should be someone who is very difficult to defeat'"

Meanwhile, Rajamouli now is working on his next big project, tentatively called, 'SSMB29'. In this movie, he will be working with Superstar Mahesh Babu. The movie is touted to be the biggest project both the artists have worked on. This is speculated to have a budget of over 1000 crore.
