SS Rajamouli, the renowned director of blockbusters like 'Baahubali', 'Magadheera,' and 'RRR' has reacted to the recently released list of Academy members amid being left out. While there was disappointment surrounding his exclusion, Rajamouli took a gracious approach and congratulated those who received the prestigious invitation. In contrast, his longtime collaborator and lead actor in the upcoming film 'RRR,' Jr NTR, expressed his gratitude for being invited to join the Academy.

The Academy's members list for this year showcased a number of Indians who were fortunate enough to receive the invitation. However, it raised eyebrows when SS Rajamouli's name was noticeably absent, despite six other members of the 'RRR' team being included. Nonetheless, Rajamouli displayed his magnanimity by taking to Twitter and extending his congratulations to the invitees.

In his tweet, Rajamouli wrote, "Extremely proud that 6 members of our 'RRR' team have been invited as members for The Academy Awards this year. Congratulations Tarak, Charan, Peddanna, Sabu sir, Senthil & Chandrabose garu. Also, congrats to the members from Indian Cinema who received the invitation this year."

On the other hand, Jr NTR, who received the coveted Academy invitation, expressed his pride and honor in an official statement. He stated, "It is such a proud moment for all of us in the 'RRR' family that Ram Charan, MM Keeravaani, Senthil Kumar, Chandrabose, Sabu Cyril, and I have been invited as members for The Academy Awards 2024. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all of them for this well-deserved honor. I thank The Academy for bestowing this honor upon us. I would also like to congratulate my colleagues in the Indian film fraternity who have received invitations from the Academy as well."

It is worth noting that apart from Rajamouli, six other members of the 'RRR' team were invited to join the Academy this year. These members include Ram Charan, Jr NTR, lyricist Chandrabose, music composer MM Keeravani, production designer Sabu Cyril, and cinematographer K K Senthil Kumar. Their recognition by the Academy further highlights the impact and talent of the Indian film industry on a global scale.
