SS Rajamouli, Rama Rajamouli, and Prem Rakshith were invited to join the Academy Awards as honorable members

In a recent update, it has been reported that the Academy Awards have extended an official invitation to SS Rajamouli and others to join the Academy’s Class of 2014 as honorable members. According to Pinkvilla, Rajamouli, along with his wife Rama Rajamouli and renowned dance choreographer Prem Rakshith, who choreographed the popular song "Naatu Naatu," have received this esteemed invitation from the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.

While the trio has not yet confirmed their acceptance, their potential membership in the Academy would allow them to vote in the upcoming awards selection. This opportunity could increase the possibility for further recognition of Indian cinema on the global stage.

'RRR' has already made significant waves internationally. Notably, the song "Naatu Naatu," composed by M.M. Keerawani and penned by lyricist Chandrabose, won the Best Original Song at the Oscars 2023, marking a monumental achievement for Indian cinema.

Currently, SS Rajamouli is gearing up for his next major project, tentatively titled 'SSMB 29', which will star Superstar Mahesh Babu.
