, who passed away on Monday morning, following a massive heart attack. His mortal remains kept for the public to pay their last respects at the
Film Chamber
Hyderabad.
Doraswamy's funeral
will be held at
Maha Prasthanam
today.
SS Rajamouli, Aswini Dutt,
Murali Mohan and other dignitaries arrived to pay last respects to Doraswamy Raju at the Film Chamber. SS Rajamouli and NTR said that Doraswamy Raju’s role was crucial in the success of Simhadri, which was the second time collaboration between Rajamouli and Jr NTR. It was bankrolled by V Doraswamy Raju under his home banner VMC Productions. The action entertainer went on to become a huge commercial success.

The National award-winning producer is best known for his collaborations with director A Kodandarami Reddy and actors
Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Akkineni Nagarjuna. Directed by K Raghavendra Rao, 'Annamayya' which has Nagarjuna playing the titular role brought Doraswamy Raju a lot of fame as a producer. The film has won two national awards as well as eight Nandi Awards. Apart from these films, he is known for producing films like Presidentgari Pellam, Madhavayyagari Manavadu, Bhale Pellam and Vengamamba.
