One of the well known directors in the industry, Sreenu Vaitla is gearing up for the release of his upcoming directorial film 'Viswam'. Recently the director known for his comical films opened up about a significant regret in his career.
According to a report by 123Telugu, Sreenu Vaitla said that making his 2014 film 'Aagadu', which starred Mahesh Babu, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Sonu Sood remains his biggest regret due to the challenges faced during its production. Initially, he had planned a grand story with a substantial budget that Mahesh Babu had approved. However, when the producers backed out, Vaitla was forced to alter the story to fit a different direction he was not confident about. This shift ultimately led to the film's disappointing performance at the box office.
Despite knowing that he should have stepped away from the project, Vaitla went ahead with it and faced the consequences of its failure. He admitted that this decision haunts him and will continue to be a source of regret throughout his life.
As of now, Sreenu Vaitla is focused on his next project, 'Viswam', which is an action-comedy film featuring actors Tottempudi Gopichand, Kavya Thapar, and Vennela Kishore. The film is set to release in theatres on October 11, 2024.
