‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ is getting the sequel it deserves with a brand new film set in a village backdrop and overseen by
Kalyan Krishna Kurasala, who directed the original film.
Dated for 2020, it is heard that Akkineni Nagarjuna and Ramya Krishnan will return to the sequel, and Akkineni Naga Chaitanya will reportedly join the cast as Nag’s grandson. The film will be set in the present day.
Akkineni Nagarjuna had bankrolled the project under his home banner Annapurna Studios and he wanted to make the sequel for all the Bangarraju fans.
Currently busy in pre-production works, the sequel will reportedly go on floors this June. ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ was notable for its striking story of a village youngster Bangarraju who has been murdered by thugs for a treasure, comes down with the help of Yama to settle his son’s married life and meanwhile, finds out that the reason behind his death. As per the makers, this sequel is going to be produced on a vast scale.
On the other hand, Akkineni Nagarjuna will also be next seen in the sequel of ‘Manmadhudu’ directed by Rahul Ravindran.
