Allu Arjun-Sneha Reddys wedding ensemble bore a strong resemblance to Abhi-Ashs D-Day attire. Is it lack of originality or aping B-Town? TOI checks out!If youve seen the Abhi-Ash wedding pictures and also had a chance to flip through pictures of
Allu Arjun and Sneha Reddys recently held marriage, youll know what we are talking about (see pictures above if you havent already!).
From the texture of the attire, to the colors and styling, it all looked similar. Bunnys shiny sherwani was oh so like Abhis. Even the collars are styled similarly. Snehas saree clad avatar is also the same as Ashs on her D-Day. Dont miss the make-up and styling. The only obvious difference perhaps is that while Abhi wore emeralds, Bunny flaunted pearls. Now that could be due to some superstition. But any which way, lets get the answer to the big question Why couldnt Allu Arjun and Sneha Reddy look different on their D-Day?
Sashikant NaiduWell, the South Indian film industry still apes and looks up to Bollywood for inspiration [read copy...], so Im not surprised. The industry still lacks originality on and off screen, so whats the big deal, nothing surprising. In fact, with the kind of buying power they have, they could have done with more original and stylized clothing by going to the best of Indian or even international designers.
Shravan KumarI think the color might be a little similar but I dont agree that the ensemble looks the same. The texture of the outfits are different. The one that Abhi wore had surface ornamentation whereas Bunnys outfit is done in weaves. Thus the look and feel is different. Again, Ash looks like a Shetty bride whereas Sneha looks pretty much like a Telugu bride. Here, the colors are also different. Ashs saree is peach pink and Snehas wore gold Kaddish.
Zubin VakilAllu Arjun and Sneha Reddy probably wanted to replicate the glitz and grandeur. Im sure they also used the formers reference pictures to repeat the ostentatious vision created by Abhi-Ash. Being original could in fact have given a magical effect to the whole wedding ensemble. They could have chosen a contemporary Telugu styling with an unconventional color scheme if they didnt want anything clichd but a direct lift is a bit much.
