Yesterday, the singer-cum-actress took to Facebook and shared her first music opportunity with MM
Keeravani
. The 38-year-old diva got
nostalgic
and revealed how happy and surprised she was when the veteran music director called her on October 2002 to come to Chennai and sing ‘
Navamallika
’ from ‘Ee abbai chala manchodu’.
Interestingly, Smita won her first
Filmfare
award for the solo number ‘Evaraina chusuntara’ from ‘Anukokunda Oka Roju’. The music of this thriller was also composed by Keeravani.
