Silly Fellows has left the audience rolling with laughter: Producers
The Telugu remake of the popular Tamil comedy Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran released this Friday, as
“After the success of Nene Raju Nene Mantri and MLA, Silly Fellows is a hat trick for our banner,” says Bharat Chowdary, adding, “Tollywood has not seen the release of a comedy like this in the recent past. People are rolling with laughter. Logic lekunda magic work out aindi maku.”
Kiran Reddy echoes his thoughts. “The main reason for us to do this film is that we always wanted to make a film which the audience can watch and laugh heartily. So when Bhimaneni Srinivas garu came to us with the proposal to make Silly Fellows, we instantly liked it. We laughed throughout his narration, which was a good sign.”
For Vishwa Prasad, the feel-good factor attached to the project drew him towards it. “Those looking for a proper comedy have loved the film. We are blessed to have such an amazing cast and good writing backing this one,” he says, talking about the performances of Allari Naresh, Sunil, Brahmanandam and Jaya Prakash Reddy.
Vivek Kuchibotla reveals that it is Jaya Prakash Reddy’s track in the second half that worked out particularly well. “I went to Arjun theatre on the opening day and people were rolling with laughter. Jaya Prakash Reddy and Brahmanandam's scenes in the film have worked out particularly well in B and C centres. The feedback we have received is amazing,” he says, rounding off.
Silly Fellows, produced by Bharat Chowdary, Kiran Reddy, TG Vishwa Prasad and co-produced by Vivek Kuchibhotla under Blue Planet Entertainment, People Media Factory, is running in theatres.
