Silambarasan to star in the Tamil remake of ‘Atharintiki Daaredi’

Remaking Telugu hit films has become a trend in Kollywood and has emerged as the easiest way to be successful at the ticket window.

The producers of Lyca Productions have bought the remake rights of the 2013 film which was loved by the audience. Hence, the film is being remade in Tamil with Simbu. ‘Atharintiki Daaredi’ has already been dubbed into Bengali as ‘Abhimaan’ in 2016 and Kannada as ‘Ranna’ (2015). Director Sunder C was supposed to helm the big budget film ‘Sanghamitra’, but due to technical issues he is now directing the Tamil remake of ‘Atharintiki Daaredi’.
