Shruti Haasan, who was initially cast in
Adivi Sesh's highly anticipated film Dacoit, has stepped away from the project, reportedly due to creative differences and an uncomfortable work environment. While initial reports suggested scheduling conflicts as the primary reason, insiders have revealed that 'over-involvement of her co-star' played a significant role in her decision to exit the film.
A source close to the production disclosed to India Today Digital that Shruti Haasan shot the teaser of the film last year, but the shoot dates were repeatedly delayed and the other actor’s (not named) extensive involvement in the script, as is typical for his projects, created discomfort for the actress, resulting in her opting for exiting from the project.

The source further added, "The situation on set became uncomfortable for her, prompting her to walk out of the project."
On December 17, the makers announced
Mrunal Thakur as Shruti’s replacement, unveiling a special poster and teaser to introduce her as part of the cast. The announcement left fans speculating about the circumstances surrounding Shruti's departure.
Mrunal Thakur took to her Instagram handle to share the character look poster on Adivi Sesh’s birthday. Along with the poster, the ‘Sita Ramam’ actress penned a caption that read, “అవును వదిలేసాను.. కానీ మనస్పూర్తిగా ప్రేమించాను . . . . . हाँ छोड़ दिया.. पर सच्चे दिल से प्यार किया Happy Birthday, @AdiviSesh #DACOIT.”
Despite the speculation, the talented actress remains busy with other projects. Shruti Haasan is currently shooting for ‘Coolie’, a film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and starring Rajinikanth.
Dacoit, directed by Adivi Sesh, continues production with its revamped cast.
