Pan-Indian actress Shriya Saran has spent all of her quarantine life in Barcelona with celebrity husband Andrei Koscheev. Before flying off to the Spanish city prior to the pandemic, she completed shooting for five of her upcoming projects which includes the anthology film ‘Gamanam’. She is playing a mute girl in the real-life inspired drama and the first look of her character was recently unveiled on her 38th birthday.

Shriya Saran has been working in the showbiz arena for close to two decades and she still holds the tag of a crowd-puller. While a 17-year-old Shriya was learning Kathak under the tutelage of Guru Sobha Narayanji, Renu Nathan and BMG production came to know about her talent. The next moment she was playing the lead in a private music video and within a few months, director Vikram K Kumar approached her to play the leading lady in the 2001 Telugu film Istam.
The Delhi beauty has teamed up with Nagarjuna for three Telugu films which include Santosham, Nenunnanu and Manam. Speaking about her experience working with the senior actor, she said in a video interview “I did my second film with Nagarjuna. First of all, he is a Virgo and all Virgo people are great. He is a very happy person who loves music, workouts and living a positive life. He is like a friend who can talk and chill with you anytime. I’ve known him and his family for the longest time. Amala Akkineni is the one who got me into mediation and both of them are truly amazing.”

Opening up on starring alongside Rajinikanth in ‘Sivaji’, the ‘Awarapan’ actress said “I’ve never met a human being like Rajinikanth sir. Every time he walks in, there is this aura around him. He is very humble, gentle and sweet to spot boys, light men and gives the same amount of respect to everyone. What I enjoy about him is his sense of humour. He is highly knowledgeable and can be mostly seen with a book in his hand. Once in a while, he asks questions and his conversations are also intelligent.”

Meanwhile, Shriya Saran in on board to essay a crucial role opposite Ajay Devgn in the flashback portions of Rajamouli’s period-actioner RRR.
