Popular South actress Shraddha Srinath is celebrating her birthday today (September 29) and social media is already flooded with special wishes from her fans and colleagues from the film fraternity. In a short span of time, the Udhampur-born diva managed to play the leading lady in five major languages including Bollywood and carve a niche for herself as a mesmerising beauty with solid acting chops. After making her debut in Hindi cinema with Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Milan Talkies in 2019, she followed up with her Tollywood debut the same year with Gautam Tinnanuri’s Jersey. She also bagged accolades for her brilliant portrayal as Meera Krishnan in the Tamil remake of Pink titled Nerkonda Paarvai.

Shraddha was born in Jammu & Kashmir to Kannada-speaking parents and her father was a high-ranked officer in the Indian Army. Due to his profession, she spent twenty years moving all over the country, changing nine schools and living in seven cities. After having such a perambulate childhood, it doesn’t come as a surprise that the bold belle is one among the most outspoken and outgoing actors in the Indian film fraternity. With many diversified roles in a short span of time, Shraddha is consolidating her position as an astute performer.

Upon completion of her graduation in Law, Shraddha started working as a lawyer with a Bangalore-based real estate company and gradually moved to a French retail company as the real estate legal advisor. However, during this tenure, she also did theatre and appeared in several commercials. After a couple of years, she decided to take the plunge into films when she wasn’t able to enjoy her corporate job. Right from the beginning, her parents were very supportive in whatever decision she takes by herself.

After the massive success of ‘U Turn’ (Kannada), things started to move fast for Shraddha with back-to-back films in Tamil and Kannada. She followed it up with a stunning performance in ‘Urvi’ and killed it as a strong-headed woman in ‘Operation Alamelamma’. But it was ‘Vikram Vedha’ catapulted her stardom to a whole new level in Kollywood. She garnered huge critical acclamation for her portrayal as a lawyer in the Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi starrer. In 2019, she bagged accolades for her brilliant portrayal as Meera Krishnan in the Tamil remake of Pink titled Nerkonda Paarvai.

In 2019, Shraddha Srinath made her debut in Telugu cinema with Gautam Tinnanuri’s sports-drama Jersey. As Nani’s wife Sara, the 30-year-old actress brought a lot of authenticity to the complex character and her performance in scenes like the confrontation with her husband or the tears that she holds back has earned wide acclaim from all corners. She followed it up with films like ‘Jodi’ and the recently released ‘Krishna and His Leela.’

Recently, Shraddha Srinath turned into an entrepreneur by inaugurating her Salad Bar & Café at the Phoenix Market City in Chennai. Currently, she has a couple of Kannada and Tamil films in the pipeline. In the romantic-drama ‘Maara’, the leggy lass is romancing R Madhavan and this will be their second association after Vikram Vedha.
